Director, Software Development Delivery

We’re looking for a visionary leader with a deep understanding of software development principles, architecture design, and emerging technologies to join our professional services team. As the Director of Software Development Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products and driving innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Leadership and Team Management:
  •    Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers and architects.
  •    Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
  •    Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them grow both personally and professionally.
  •    Drive performance excellence through effective goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and performance evaluations.

  • 2. Technical Strategy and Planning:
  •    Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for R3’s products and solutions.
  •    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  •    Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform decision-making and innovation.
  •    Develop and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

  • 3. Software Development Lifecycle:
  •    Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  •    Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality guidelines, and development best practices.
  •    Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  •    Champion a culture of agility and flexibility, promoting iterative development and rapid prototyping.

  • 4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
  •    Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  •    Build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and partners to understand their needs and requirements.
  •    Act as a technical advisor, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and product roadmap planning.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record of leadership and management experience in software development and architecture roles.
  • Deep expertise in software development methodologies, design patterns, and architectural principles.
  • Hands-on experience with modern development languages, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Prior experience in blockchain / DLT technology or financial services industry is a plus.
